As we prepare for Ghostbusters: The Video Game, it is nice to take a look at previous Ghostbusters video games.  YouTuber and ghosthead PressStartComic did just that, as he posted a brief video review of the original Real Ghostbusters arcade game.  

Earlier this month, Proton Charging posted a play-through video of an emulated version of the game, check it out.

Fan Projects: Spore Characters Inspired By Ghostbusters

Will Wright, creator of Sim City, The Sims, and countless other video games, is on the verge of releasing his new masterpiece called Spore.  Among many other key features, Spore allows users to create their own characters from scratch.

Although the game is not yet available until September,  Ghostbusters Message Board member Lionheart decided to make a Terror Dog (seen in the second video) using the Spore creature creator and pointed out that there are several characters on the spore site inspired by Ghostbusters.

Kotaku got in touch with Sierra’s Ben Borth and was able to extract a reason regarding Rick Moranis’ decision not to participate in Ghostbusters: The Video Game.

He made so much money off of Honey I Shrunk The Kids that he retired. He just doesn’t want to work anymore.

OXM Podcast Interviews Terminal Reality (Playable Ghostbusters Demo Confirmed)

The latest episode of the Official Xbox Magazine podcast contains a chat with the following gentlemen from Terminal Reality: Creative Director Drew Haworth, Executive Producer Brendan Goss, and President Mark Randel.

The Terminal Reality interview segment starts at approximately 16:05. During the podcast we learn a demo of Ghostbusters: The Video Game is in the works and will likely be downloadable to consumers “just prior to launch”.  Also confirmed, the game will be playable during the San Diego Comic Con and character customization will not be part of the game.
